A message from Eric Piza and Scott Jacques

Eric Piza and Scott Jacques wrote an Open Letter to the American Society of Criminology (ASC) Concerning Access to Its Journals: Criminology, and Criminology & Public Policy, which indicates that their “green access” policy prohibits authors from sharing their postprints on any website for 24 months after publication of the final article. This is a restrictive policy, which may even conflict with the ASC’s own Code of Ethics. Eric and Scott ask ASC to change the policy.
